Jewel hunters are gearing up for the world's most expensive treasure hunt after organisers took delivery of its prizes – a stash of diamonds worth £10,000.
The stones will be up for grabs with tokens hidden in secret locations all around Cheltenham, and finders will have to fork out £10 for a map to track them down.
The challenge is being organised by Beards Jewellers for charity Maggie's, which provides support for people with cancer.
Managing director at the jewellers, Alexander Rose said: "We are really looking forward to getting it started and, now that the diamonds are here, we are finally finishing our maps.
"They have been flown in by our diamond cutter in New York."
Ten oversized Beards boxes will be hidden on September 13, with maps sold to help people track them down.
