MUM-OF-11 Heather Frost wants an end to the international attention around her and her family’s new council “mansion”.
She told The Citizen she had “plenty to say” in response to her own father’s stinging criticisms but would not air her thoughts publicly and added: “I just want it all to stop now, it’s gone far enough.”
On Friday, Royston Frost, 72, from Tewkesbury, said his daughter should have “got off her backside” and found employment. It came after jobless Heather, 37, who has appeared on Daybreak and Jeremy Kyle, claimed she is not living a life of luxury and runs out of money every week.
But yesterday, it was revealed by The Sun that she hired a fairground carousel ride worth hundreds of pounds for one of her children in 2011.
Public outcry began earlier this month when The Citizen broke the news that Heather and her kids are moving from their Churchdown home – two houses knocked together – to a purpose-built six-bed eco home in Tewkesbury, funded by the taxpayer.
In an interview with the Daily Mirror, Heather said: “A mass murderer wouldn’t get as much attention as I’m getting. One bloke said on Facebook he wanted to put all my kids in a house and gas them. It’s just sickening.”
She also said she struggles to make ends meet on benefits and is regularly given a helping hand financially by her mum.
“I run out of money every week,” she said. “Luckily I’ve got a good mum who bails me out. I usually spend £250 a week on food. I go to Primark for the kids’ clothes but if people give me secondhand ones, I will gladly take them. I’ll take anything off anybody.”
