Two men, including a man from Sherborne in Dorset who is the half-brother of a Tory MP, will deny historic sex abuse allegations, a court heard.
Charles Napier, 67, is accused of one count of inciting a child to commit an act of gross indecency. The amateur dramatics enthusiast is the half-brother of Maldon MP John Whittingdale.
Richard Alston, 69, is accused of five counts of indecent assault and three counts of gross indecency with a child.
The abuse charges date back to the late 1970s at a west London school and concern an alleged victim who was 11 years old at the time.
Napier, of Newland in Sherborne, Dorset, and Alston, of Vinery Road in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, attended a preliminary hearing.
Peter Zinner, prosecuting, told Southwark Crown Court that the defendants intended to plead not guilty to all matters. Their conditional bail was renewed.
The pair, smartly dressed in jackets and ties, spoke only to confirm their names.
They were arrested last year under Operation Cayacos, a strand of a wider investigation which was launched following claims by MP Tom Watson.
