A CAR flipped onto its roof and blocked a road near Shepton last night for nearly two hours.
Emergency services attended the scene, and fire crews confirmed a single vehicle road traffic collision on a public highway with one car on its roof blocking the road.
A police spokesman said: “At 9.49pm we were called to Pylle Lane, Pylle, as a vehicle was on its roof. All persons were out of the vehicle and walking around wounded.
“It was a ford focus, dark green. There was a bit of fluid leaking from the vehicle. It was moved by 11.15pm”
The incident occurred on the junction between Pylle Lane and Pylle Hill.
One fire appliance from Shepton Mallet attended.
A Fire Service spokesman said: “All persons were free and clear of the vehicle upon the arrival of the Fire Service. Two walking wounded casualties were left in the hands of ambulance crews.
“Fire crews assisted Ambulance crews and made the vehicle safe. This incident was left in the hands of Police and Ambulance.”
