Rower Cameron Nichol has been named as reserve in the openweight men's category for Great Britain's 2012 Olympic Games squad.

Glastonbury's Nichol, 25, claimed silver with the men’s eight at both the 2010 and 2011 World Championships.

He has this afternoon been named as openweight men's reserve alongside 29-year-old Marcus Bateman.

Adam Freeman-Pask has been named as reserve in the lightweight category.

University of Bath graduate Freeman-Pask, 27, won gold in the lightweight men's single scull at the Lucerne World Cup earlier this year.

He also bagged gold with Frome's Paul Mattick in the lightweight men's pair at the World Cups in Munich and Belgrade.
