Police are investigating after a badly burnt man's body was found under a bridge by a member of the public.
The 37-year-old man was discovered under the bridge in Liskeard, Cornwall, at around 3pm on Friday.
Officers immediately cordoned off the area and an investigation has now begun in the death of the man. A post mortem into the death, which is being treated as "unexplained", was carried out on Saturday. Police said the man's identity had been confirmed but a name will not be released until next of kin had been informed.
Ellis Trinder, from Fishing Mayhem around the corner from the location, said: "We haven't got a clue what is going on. There are lots of rumours going around on Facebook but that's all speculation at the moment.
"It's scary for Liskeard, these things don't happen here."
