A man who was knocked unconscious while roller skating in Swindon in 1948 will celebrate his 65th wedding anniversary today with the nurse who cared for him in hospital. Dave Kimber ended up in hospital in Stratton St Margaret with a head injury, and met trainee nurse Dilys while he recovered. The couple, both now 85, were married within ten months of the accident, on January 1, 1949, and have lived in Swindon where he worked at the rail works.
