Bridgwater Town are looking to sign a new striker from a higher division in time for tonight’s Red Insure Cup tie against Taunton Town at Fairfax Park (7.45pm).

Bridgwater lost 6-2 at Taunton in a league match in August, and boss Rob Dray said: “We shall be fielding a strong side. We certainly did not play very well when we met Taunton in the summer.”

By local derby standards, it was a tame affair with Taunton scoring four times in the last 20 minutes.

Bridgwater will have ex-Weston-super-Mare skipper Andy Robertson back in their squad.

Taunton include three players under the age of 18 – Tom Hopkins, Tom Ellis and Luke Redrup – but skipper Andy Butler misses the game following his wedding on Saturday.
