Want to avoid the sales and Auntie Maureen's cold turkey buffet but aren't sure what to do this Boxing Day?

Here are some suggestions for what's on in Gloucestershire this Boxing Day.

1)Watch the mummers down at Gloucester Cathedral - the Gloucestershire Morris Men, along with other groups, will perform from noon outside the cathedral.

2) Boxing Day carols at Gloucester Cathedral - Join Gloucester Choral Society from 3pm with renowned organist Anthony Gowing

3)Watch Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 from 7.30pm on ITV

4)Watch The Lewis Creaven Band at Café Rene tonight - a free Boxing Day party will take place tonight at Café Rene in Gloucester. The band will play original material and covers of the likes of Jimi Hendrix and Lenny Kravitz

5)Head to the Bibury Duck Race - from 11am cheer on your duck in two races. The first sends 150 decoy ducks - each sponsored for £10 for charity. The second featuring thousands of yellow plastic ducks - sponsored at £1 each.

6)Head to Westonbirt Arboretum or Batsford Arboretum for a winter walk and maybe a warming hot chocolate
