Colmer Stud is to stand Bollin Eric this coming stud season alongside Arkadian Hero.

Bollin Eric started his career at the National Stud and latterly stood at Bill Bromley's Wood Farm Stud in Shropshire. "Bollin Eric's page in the Thoroughbred Stallion Guide was always one I loitered over," said stud manager Brenda Bowdich. "So when Mr Bromley's retirement was announced I was quickly on the phone."

Bollin Eric won the St Leger. From a speedy dam line he is tough and consistent, and ended his racing career sound. He won or was placed in 17 of his 18 races, 11 times at Group level, and won twice as a two-year-old. He was crowned champion three-year-old stayer in Europe in 2002.

Bolin Eric has had numerous winners on the flat and is now getting them over fences too, including Grandad's Horse, a four-year-old dual hurdle and bumper winner in 2012, Seymour Eric, a promising bumper third on his only start, and bumper winner Barney Cool and Morcombe. He has had numerous point-to-point winners, and joins Arkadian Hero who continues to get winners over fences too.
