SPEEDWAY: Swindon skipper Troy Batchelor has been handed a dream call-up to the Speedway Grand Prix series. Batchelor will take his place in the 12-round competition, starting in New Zealand next month, after Russian racer Emil Sayfutdinov pulled out due to injury. And Excalibur Robins boss Alun Rossiter feels the news is great reward for the 26-year-old Australian, who has come close to an automatic place on several occasions. Rossiter said: "I know how much this means to Troy. He has matured in the last few years and I'm sure he's ready for this challenge."
