A Portishead-based organisation has been presented with a prestigious national award, which is awarded to just 3.2% of organisations in the UK.
The Alliance Homes Group, a community-based social enterprise that provides housing and housing-related support across North Somerset, was awarded the Investors in People Gold award for going above and beyond in the way they develop, support and motivate their team.
Clive Bodley, Group Chief Executive at the Alliance Homes Group, said: "We continually strive to develop the skills of our people as we believe there is a direct link between empowering our staff to do their jobs well and how this translates into an improved service for the communities we serve. It is wonderful to be awarded the highest level of Investors in People award as this demonstrates our commitment to putting people at the heart of everything we do."
The Gold award has been given to fewer than 700 organisations in the country and celebrates those that perform beyond the core Investors in People standard.
John Telfer, Managing Director of Inspiring Business Performance Ltd (IBP), the organisation that delivers Investors in People for London and the South, said: "The current economic climate makes it even more important that an organisation adapts to survive. The Alliance Homes Group is a shining example that proves organisations can achieve great things during challenging times."
