A valuable collection of model cars worth thousands of pounds has been stolen in Taunton.
Police are urging model dealers and collectors to be vigilant after 143 scale die-cast cars, worth around £3,000, were stolen from a property in South Road between August 23 and 26.
The collection included names such as Corgi, Dinky and other foreign makes of well-known model cars and sports cars dating back to the 1960s.
Officers said many of the cars were unboxed but in a mint condition, and are appealing to members of the public, second-hand shop owners and model collectors to get in touch if they see or are offered model vehicles.
