Air Cadets from 914 (Glastonbury & Street) Squadron ATC have been taking part in the Duke of Edinburgh's award scheme and over the past couple of months 13 of them have completed their Bronze award! The award consists of 4 sections at Bronze level; Volunteering, Skill, Physical and Expedition. Each section is chosen by the candidate and requires commitment and determination.

"I'm so pleased to see so many young adults gain such a valuable award that is rewarding not just in the sense of a certificate but also in valuable life skills such as teamwork and mental stamina." Says Sgt (ATC) Leanne White; Duke of Edinburgh's Award Leader for 914 Squadron "It makes me very proud to be part of the Air Training Corps and especially their sergeant!"

Most of the cadets are now moving on to do their Silver level of the award as they enjoyed the Bronze so much! If you are aged 13-17 and wish to be part of 914 Squadron Air Cadets then contact the squadron by e-mail; oc.914@aircadets.org, or come down to the squadron on a Monday or Thursday evening 1930-2130 to see what it's all about!
